PETOSKEY — From 4-6 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 22, join Crooked Tree Arts Center for its education open house where returning and prospective students and families will have the opportunity to meet instructors and program directors, tour the facility, and register on-site for fall classes.
The Crooked Tree Arts Center School of Ballet artistic director, Heather Raue, and dance instructor, Karrie Benedict, will be on hand to discuss the school of ballet classes, performances, audition process for December’s “The Nutcracker,” dress code, program policies, and the new dance showcase that will be taking place on Jan.31, 2018 for students in beginning, beginning-intermediate, and dance fusion I, II, and III.
Kevin Richardson, music education director, will be sharing information about the newly restructured music program at the arts center, including the orchestra, ukulele, jazz, and rock programs. Students will have the opportunity to be sized for instruments by a representative from Marshall Music during the open house, and also be able to learn about instrument rental.
Visual Arts instructors will be on hand to discuss upcoming fall classes with parents, guardians, and students of all ages.
Come learn about the additions to art centers education offerings, meet other students and participating families, and get registered for classes all at once. The open house will be taking place throughout the Crooked Tree Arts Center in the dance studio, visual arts room, pottery studio, theater and the recently renovated music studio.
