PETALING JAYA: Datuk Dr Amin Senin (pic) has been appointed the education director-general of the Education Ministry effective Oct 19.
He will be replacing Tan Sri Dr Khair Mohamad Yusof who is retiring after more than 35 years in public service.
Amin has been in the civil service for 33 years, and joined the education sector on Aug 1, 1984.
He was previously the education deputy director-general, Aminuddin Baki institute director, and Institute of Teacher Education Malaysia deputy rector.
He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from Universiti Sains Malaysia, completed his Master’s degree in Human Resource Development at Universiti Putra Malaysia and later his PhD in Human Resource Development and Planning at Universiti Malaysia Sabah.
