In recognition of National Voter Registration Day, the Missoula County Elections office will be on the University of Montana campus Tuesday, Sept. 26, to present three 20-minute voter education presentations at 11 a.m., noon and 1 p.m. After each presentation there will be ample time for questions.

The voter workshops will be held in the Payne Family Native American Center (on the Oval) in Room 014. Participants will be able to go online at the workshop and verify their own voter record using the “My Voter Page” website; elections staff will guide students through major online voter research tools and voting procedures that work to protect the integrity of our elections will be explained.

Students, faculty, staff and members of the public are invited to drop in anytime between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. for individual help.

This event is co-sponsored by the Associated Students of UM, UM Department of Political Science, UM Civic Engagement, the UM Master’s Program for Public Administration and Pi Sigma Alpha-Epsilon Mu Political Science Honor Society.

A “drop-in” educational workshop on voting and the elections process that is focused on the general public will be held at the Fairgrounds Election Center, Building #35, 1101 South Ave. W. between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. on the same day. Refreshments will be provided.
